What is a Passion Side Hustle?
This is that thing you love doing that brings you extra money.
This is different from your main job where you get your main income to pay the bills.
What if you are not passionate about your side hustle?
Well, as long as you enjoy doing it, then it passes the standard of a passion side hustle.
It brings spark in you – in your life. And because you’re working on this, the rest of the elements in your life are affected positively.
You believe in it. It has the potential to turn into your main source of income later on.
It does not have to revolve around the arts – it can be unsexy too.
So, how do you start in the industry of the Passion Side Hustling?
Let me cover the steps right here:
1. Make an Inventory of your Skills.
I’ve been asked many times – “What if I don’t have the skills?”
Even newly born babies already have skills so declaring the above statement is plain lazy – I’m afraid.
You’ve come this way so dig deeper and ask your self, what are your skills?
Maybe it involves shopping, cooking, cleaning houses, rearranging books, fixing shoes, sewing clothes, making accessories, coaching people, drawing, massaging – all of these are skills. You don’t have to be the greatest at it.
As long as you know how to do it and execute the skill then it is counted in your inventory.
Once you got the list, then it’s time for you to niche down. Evaluate your best skill out of the list. Pick the top three!

2. What is the Problem You Want to Solve?
The next question to ask yourself is this: what is the problem that you want to solve?
It can be an existing problem that people tend to overlook. It can be a small or a big problem.
How can you help solve the problem given your skills (or your best skills)?
It is important to know the problem you are trying to solve as we identify the passion side hustle you are going to pursue.
The thing is, if your idea or your skill can’t solve a problem, then there may be no market need for it.
3. Is There a Market Need?
Is your skill or the problem you are trying to solve seasonal?
Is it relevant throughout the year? Or if it is seasonal, can you find people who would be willing to pay for your skill or the product that will come out of your skill?
You can make a survey and ask your target audience how much would they be willing to pay for this particular product or service. If you can find people who are willing to pay for your passion side hustles, then you’ll know that you got something there.
4. Can You Allocate the Time?
A passion side hustle is often born while you are working on your full-time job. A full-time job that takes at least 8 hours of your time in the day.
Remember that you still have your family to take care of. You need to have time for yourself.
Are you able to allocate the time to your passion side hustles? You can definitely make it work with time management and delegating tasks, but you still have to be prepared physically and emotionally.
A passion side hustles is not all rainbows and butterflies.
These are the four basic steps in starting a passion side hustle. A passion side hustle is something you start on the side which after some time, you have to decide whether you want to continue working on it or not.
Having a passion side hustle is a safe experiment to see if your idea works. If the answer is YES – it works, then you may think about writing a business plan that would take your passion side hustle into a full-time business.
